Univision company spotlight

We recently had a short discussion with Univision. They gave us an interesting company information, and we're happy to share it with you here in OLED-Info.

About Univision Technology

Univision Technology, founded at the Hsin-Chu Science based industrial park in July, 2000, is a company focused on the research and development, design, manufacturing and sale of PMOLED displays.

The product line includes full color, multicolor, and monochrome displays which can be used in the main and sub-panel of mobile phone, MP3 player, blue tooth earphone, game, digital camera, car audio, and other industrial applications.

Univision is among the top five OLED manufacturer. In addition to the production of small size OLED display, Univision invest on the technology development for larger format display and flexible display to strengthen its core technology, in order to produce more advanced products and to satisfy customer’s need all around. OLED feature many outstanding characteristics for a display, such as self-luminous, simple in device structure, ultra thin and lightness in weight, nano-second video response, high contrast, high brightness and wide viewing angle. It’s the technology of choice for the multimedia era.

Univision available OLED panels

Monochrome panels - from 0.66", 64x48 to 3.12" 256x64. Colors are usually light blue or white.

Full color panels - from 0.95" 96x64 to 2.2" 220x176. The panels offer 262K color.

Univision sells a 2.2" 220x176 panel for phone main displays. The first phone will sell in 2007 in China.

In the near future, Univision plans to offer 2.6" and 3.32" panels.
