In recent years OLED technology has emerged as the leading smartphone display technology, and the world's most popular phone vendors are all shipping AMOLED smartphones.
In 2018, over 500 million AMOLED screens were produced - mostly to satisfy demand from mobile phones vendors. The smartphone OLED 2018 market was led by Samsung, who has been using AMOLEDs in its high-end phones for many years, followed by Apple, LG, Xiaomi, Huawei and others. Samsung is branding its smartphone OLED displays as Super AMOLED display.
Most premium phones today adopt flexible OLED displays. Apple for example is using a flexible 5.8" 1125x2436 OLED (made by SDC) in its 2018 iPhone XS (the iPhone XS Max sports a larger 6.5" 1242x2688 flexible AMOLED). Display experts say that the iPhone XS Display is the world's best smartphone display.
Most display experts and consumers agree that OLED displays are the world's best smartphone displays. The best smartphone OLED displays are the Super AMOLED displays produced by Samsung Display, but other OLED producers (such as LG and BOE Display) are also producing high quality OLEDs.

The Oppo Reno Z is a mid-range smartphone that features a large 6.4" 1080x2340 AMOLED display with an under-the-display fingerprint sensor, a MediaTek Helio P90 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of storage, a dual 48Mp camera setup and Dual SIM.
The Reno Z is now shipping globally starting at around $500 (for the 256GB model).
Oppo's Reno is a high-end smartphone that features a 6.4" 1080x2340 full-screen AMOLED display, an under-the-display fingerprint sensor, an octa-core chipset, 6/8 GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a 48 MP dual camera and a motorized pop-up 16MP selfie.
The Reno 10x Zoom is a similar phone with a larger display (6.6-inch, 1080x2340), a microSD slot and a periscope 10x zoom lens.
The Galaxy Note Edge is a Note 4 variant that includes a flexible Super AMOLED display that curves around the right edge. The "main" display is a 5.6" QHD (2560x1440), and the right-stripe adds 160 rows that display icons or notifications.
The rest of the Note Edge specifications are pretty similar to the Note 4: Android 4.4, a 2.7 Ghz Quad-Core CPU, 3 GB of RAM, 16 mp camera (with Smart OiS), S-Pen, Heart-rate sensor, UV sensor, finger scanner, 32/64 GB of onboard memory (plus a micro SD slot) and a 3,000 mAh battery. The Note 4 features a premium metal (aluminum) frame.
Nokia's Lumia 930 is the company's flagship Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone for 2014. The 930 has a 5" Full-HD Super AMOLED ClearBlack display, a 2.2 Ghz quad core CPU, 20 MP PureView camera (with optical image stabilization), Qi wireless charging and NFC.
Samsung's Galaxy S3 is the successor to the hugely popular S2. The new flagship phone is "designed for humans and inspired by nature" - and includes lot's of smart software for voice recognition, gesture control, smart sharing and intelligent camera features. The phone has a 4.8" 1280x720 HD Super AMOLED (306 PPI, with Pentile), a quad-core 1.4Ghz CPU (dual-core 1.5Ghz in the US models), 1GB of RAM (2GB in the US models) and an 8 mp camera (1080p video). The phone weighs 133 grams and is only 8.6 mm thick.

The Omnia 7 is a Windows Phone 7 device with a 4" Super-AMOLED, 5mp camera, snapdragon processor and 8GB/16GB on board.
The Omnia 7 launched globally at the end of 2010.
The Nokia C7 is running on Symbian^3, and has a 3.5" AMOLED display and a 8mp camera that can record 720p video. Other features include 8GB of memory, GPS and Wi-Fi.
The Acer Stream is an Android phone (running on a 1Ghz processor) with a large touch AMOLED display. It features 720p video (playback and record), HDMI port, Wi-Fi and a DLNA/UPnP Streamer.

The Sirius Phone is available for the Sky network in Korea.
The Galaxy S is Samsung's latest Android phone. It has a 1 Ghz processor and a large 4" Super-AMOLED display. It also has a 'content Ecosystem' and Samsung's Social Hub. The Galaxy S can shoot HD video at 720p (with a 5mp camera).
Samsung also released a variant for Verizon, the Samsung Continuum, which uses a part of the display as a 'ticker' display.
