Established in Shanghai, China in 2019, Lumicore (also known as Nanjing Yunguang Technology) is an OLED microdisplay producer. In 2021 the company started to construct a 8-inch OLED microdisplay production line in Nanjing. The low-volume line (1,000 monthly substrates) is now in mass production.
In early 2024, Lumicore announced it has raised $100 million in its Series A funding round. The company announced several microdisplay products.
In early 2026, the company announced it is starting to construct a large capacity $390 million 12-inch OLED microdisplay fab in Nanjing, which will be put into operation in 2027.
