SparkNano

The Netherlands-based SparkNano (formerly known as SALDtech) was established in 2018 as a spinoff from the TNO institute to developed Spatial Atomic Layer Deposition (SALD) systems into the flat panel display industry.

In 2020 the company announced (following its second investment round) that it is developing flexible OLED production equipment for Half Gen 6 TFE and ultra high mobility (> 100 cm2/VS) TFT applications. The company's tools can be used to deposit the inorganic layers of the OLED TFE, in addition to IGZO layer deposition.

Invenia

Invenia logoInvenia produces equipment for display production, including plasma treatment machines, MOCVD and PECVD machines, thermal evaporators and inspection systems.

For OLED production, Invenia offers its plasma pre-treatment system, ranging in size from 2.5-Gen to 11-Gen.

3D-Micromac

3D-Micromac logoGermany-based 3D-Micromac AG develops develops and manufactures processes and laser systems for leading-edge processes. 3D-Micromac targets a wide range of industries, including semiconductor, photovoltaic, glass and display industry, electronics, as well as medical device technology.

For OLED manufacturing, 3D-Micromac offers a variety of industrial laser solutions such as:

  • Laser separation systems for glass panels
  • Laser cutting machines for ultra-thin glass and glass polymer stacks
  • Laser Lift-Off (LLO) which guarantees a highly uniform, force-free lift-off of different layers on wafer, panel and flexible substrates
  • ITO/TCO laser patterning systems or rigid and flexible substrates
  • Laser cutting of flexible substrates and material stacks.

InZiv

InZiv logoInZiv, based in Israel, is developing characterization tools for OLED developers and inspection tools for OLED producers.

InZiv says its equipment offers the highest resolution in defect identification correlated with spectral and topographical data.

HiTi Digital

Established in 2001 as Hi-Touch Imaging Technologies, Taiwan-based HiTi develops and produces digital photo printers, products and services.

In 2018 HiTi announced it is developing OLED technologies, based on dye sublimation Technology, with an aim to offer mass production printing equipment by 2023.

As far as we know, HiTi's OLED project is currently on hold.

Cognex

For OLED producers, Cognex provides gauging tools to determine the accuracy of alignment tasks and to assess repeatability. Cognex's machine vision can provide 100% in-line monitoring of the OLED assembly process and calculate CPK measurement, at any stage of production.

M-Solv
