Pocket-Lint says LG's curved OLED TV is "jaw-droppingly stunning"

Pocket-Lint posted a short hands-on review of LG's 55EA9800 curved OLED TV. And they love it. They say the image is impressive (magnificent viewing angles and color accuracy) and the TV itself is beautiful (in fact it's "jaw-droppingly stunning"). It also offers great sound and "smart" features.

Interestingly, they say that because the OLED provides perfect viewing angles, the TV looks good even if you're not sitting straight in front of it in its "sweet spot". Regarding the advantages of a curved design, they say that "it's difficult to tell whether the curve of this OLED panel really adds to the viewing experience, but it certainly looks good."

LG launched th 55QA9800 last month in Korea for KW 15 million (or about $13,500). They do not know how much it'll cost in the UK, or when it'll launch, but an LG spokesperson promised it will be available in the UK for Christmas though.

LG's 55EA9800 features an Oxide-TFT WRGB Full-HD OLED panel (like LG's 55EM9700 OLED TV). The TV features "infinite" contrast ratio, passive 3D, Smart Touch Controls and a "paper-slim" design (it's only 4.3 mm thick and weighs just 17Kg). It is made from Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (CFRP).
