MicroOLED raises 8 million Euro to accelerate its AR OLED module R&D

French OLED microdisplay maker MicroOLED announced that it has raised 8 million Euro by EU-based Cipio Partners and Ventech.

MicroOLED recently launched a new compact optical module called ActiveLook, and the company reports it is being adopted by eyewear companies such as Julbo, UVEX and others.

 

MicroOLED also updates that it 2019 was a record year for the company, in which it recorded a net profit. The new funds will enable the company to accelerate its R&D activities of integrated AR modules and strengthen its manufacturing capacities.

The microdisplay market is heating up as consumer electronics companies such as Apple, Google, Amazon and Microsoft are developing consumer AR solutions and are looking for high-end solutions such as OLEDs and MicroLED displays.
