The OLED industry has achieved shipments of more than 20 million units based on cells in the third quarter of 2006, which is a record high exceeding the previous record of 18 million units in the fourth quarter of 2005, according to DisplayBank.
The OLED market registered 12 million units in the first quarter, 18 million units in the second quarter, and 21 million units in the third quarter of this year, and this figure is projected to rise further to 22 million units by the fourth quarter of 2006, adding up to approximately 73 million units for the year 2006.
