Digitimes Research says that AMOLED production capacity is expected to reach 11.47 million square meters in 2015, up 327% compared to 2012. They expect Samsung and LG to produce 83.7% of the AMOLED market in 2015 (down from 97.7% today).
In 2015, 53% of the AMOLED capacity will be used for small and medium applications (mobile devices, mostly). China makers will account to 7.4% of the AMOLED market in 2015.
DisplaySearch estimates that the AMOLED market will grow from almost 200 million units in 2012 to over 400 million units in 2015. But as average panel size will grow too, it means that total production by meters will more than double. IDTechEx expects the OLED market to grow from $6 billion in 2012 to about $17.5 billion in 2015.
