Will Apple's 2016 MacBook Pro have an OLED touchpad?

Apple will reportedly update its MacBook Pro lineup towards the end of this year, and it is rumored that one of the new features in these new laptops will be an OLED touch bar, placed above the keyboard (instead of the function keys).

Apple MacBook Pro 2016 leaked photo

Leaked chassis photos of the upcoming MacBook Pro seems to show a keyboard with a missing function line - and an empty display slot.

These new photos are from an anonymous source, and these are all just rumors of course. In addition, even if Apple will indeed place a display bar above the keyboard - it may be an LCD display or an E Ink one. A flexible plastic-based OLED is the best technology, of course, as it will provide the best images, thinnest profile and most light and efficient solution.

Apple is already using an OLED in the Watch wearable, and many reports say that the 2017 or 2018 iPhone will sport an OLED display.
