UBI Research says that it has revised down its 2026 OLED material market estimates by 12.8%, due to the decrease in smartphone AMOLED panel shipments, caused by the rising memory prices.

Back a few months ago, UBI estimated that the global OLED material market will reach $2.91 billion in 2026. This has now been revised to $2.54 billion.
UBI says that as Korean AMOLED makers (Samsung and LGD) mostly supply to premium smartphones, IT devices, wearables and TVs, they are less effected by the rising memory prices. Chinese OLED makers will see a higher decline in shipments, and so in material usage. In the past few years, Chinese OLED makers have increased the adoption of locally-source OLED materials (from companies such as LTOM and Summer Sprout).
