UBI Research estimates that about 900 million smartphone OLED panels will ship in 2025. About 50.8% of these will be produced in China, and the rest made in Korea. The total revenue of Korea's smartphone AMOLED makers is higher, though, as they mostly target premium phones such as Apple's iPhone series and Samsung's Galaxy series.
Samsung Display grew nicely in Q4 2025, driven by high demand from Apple and for Samsung's own Galaxy S25 FE. The company is also starting to produce the panels for the Galaxy S26. LG Display also had an excellent third quarter, shipping around 20 million panels, and will ship around 24 million in Q4.
In China, most makers are seeing stable shipments in 2025 compared to 2024. BOE is expanding its customer base as it moves into upper-mid-range smartphones, while both TCL CSOT and Visionox continued to grow shipments to both the domestic Chinese market and global brands. Tianma is also focusing on shipping more high-value AMOLEDs.
