Suzhou Precision Systems (SPS) announced that the company has been chosen to lead a major national project, to develop large-area 8.6-Gen flexile OLED substrate slot coating system. In addition to SPS, six other parties are part of this project, including Universities, research institutes and companies.

This is a three-years project, that aims to develop a viable production-scale system, that will be an automated system that includes the coating machine, built-inspection, and modules such as ovens, cleaning tools, and more. The total budget for the project is "hundreds of millions of yuan", likely in the range of $20-50 million USD.
SPS says that this project is of utmost importance to the Chinese display industry, as currently such equipment is only available from two vendors in Korea.
Today there are four 8.6-Gen AMOLED lines being constructed, by Samsung Display, BOE, VIsionox (ViP line) and TCL CSOT (inkjet printing line). See here for an overview of all four 8.6-Gen lines.
