The US ITC apparently decided to launch a section 337 investigation aginst both BOE and Samsung. Solas OLED requested that the ITC to issue a limited exclusion order and cease orders.

According to reports in China, BOE said that it does not expect the investigation to have a substantial impact on its production and operation. The company says it will continue to follow the investigation and actively communicate and negotiate with relevant parties.

In November 2020 we reported that Solas prevailed in its patent infringement action in Germany against LG Display, LG Electronics and Sony. while the company dropped two lawsuits it filed in the US against Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. Last year we reported that Solas OLED has filed a lawsuit in the US against Apple for OLED stack patent infringements.
