Shoei announces an OLED microdisplay AR motorcycle helmet

Shoei announced a new AR smart motorcycle helmet, which it says will be the world's first to fully-integrate AR. The GT-Air 3 Smart, co-developed with EyeLights, features an HUD visor, that projects data 3 meters in front of the rider.

The GE-Air 3 Smart is powered by OLED microdisplays. We do not have any technical information beyond the resolution (FHD - 1920x1080). Shoei says that the new helmet will ship in the summer of 2026, and will cost $1,199 in the US (that's almost double the cost of the standard GT-Air 3, without the AR). It will have a battery life of around 10 hours
