The same report also suggests that Samsung Electronics is looking into adopting BOE OLEDs in premium smartphones.

Earlier this year we reported that Samsung is looking to increase adoption of China-made OLED panels in entry-level phones, as it looks to lower costs and reduce its reliance on SDC. In 2021, Samsung Electronics started to adopt smartphone AMOLED displays produced by BOE and TCL. According to some reports, SDC will increase its OLED orders from these two companies from to 6 million units in 2022 (up from 600,000 in 2021).

Samsung's latest smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch4, features a 1.36" 450x450 Super AMOLED display or a 1.19" 396x396 Super AMOLED, both exclusively made by SDC. The Galaxy Watch 4 is now shipping, starting at $198.
