Samsung Display has unveiled its new foldable OLED brand, called MONTFLEX. The company says the new branding is based on the French word for mountain (Mont), and it represents the "pinnacle of foldable innovation".
MONT, for SDC, also has another meaning - each letter of MONT stands for a key technology strength: Mechanical durability, Opto-mechanically flat, Narrow bezels, and a Thin and lightweight design.
Samsung Display has been producing foldable OLEDs for 7 years, and has recently introduced a new panel design. The company has also started to produce rollable OLEDs a few months ago, which may represent the future of flexible OLED and flexible device design,.
