Samsung Display is showcasing a new automotive-grade OLED display that features a large 80mm-diameter punch-hole. The company says that this is the largest hole demonstrated in an OLED display to date.

The company brands its technology as Hole In Active Area (HIAA). Up until now, the technology was used to create holes for smartphone camera, up to around 5 mm in diameter. This has now been expanded to 80 mm - which enables unique designs such as featuring an air-conditioning vent inside the display.
