Omdia: OLED TV sales are rising, but demand for mini-LED LCD TVs is growing faster

Omdia says that global OLED TV sales are rising, and in February 2025 shipments grew 19.2% compared to last year. This is while total LCD shipments were down by 2.4%.

In Europe, OLED TV sales amounted to 23% of all TV revenues in 2024, despite representing just 8% of volume. In the last quarter of 2024, global OLED TV shipments surpassed 2 million for the first time. Omdia, however, sees a strong momentum in mini-LED backlit LCDs, which is growing very quickly, and which sold over 3 million units in the last quarter of 2024.
