OLED display technology enables the world's best displays - with superb image quality, low response times, low power consumption. OLEDs can enable thin, light and even flexible monitors. OLEDs however found it difficult to enter the monitor market due mostly to burn-in challenges and high production costs.

Some device makers however are introducing OLED monitors, mostly premium monitors for the health and broadcasting industries. It is hoped that in the future OLED monitors will also appear for the consumer market. For OLED monitor industry news coverage, click here.

Red Magic: Magic Realm

Red Magic's Magic Realm gaming monitor is based on a 49-inch 240Hz 5120x1440 QD-OLED panel. The monitor is curved (1800R) and it offers a fast response time (0.03 ms), FREE-SNYC and G-SYNC compatibility and built-in 5W speakers.

Red Magic did not yet reveal the price or release date of its QD-OLED Monitor.

HKC OG27QK

HKC's OG27QK is an OLED gaming monitor, that features a 25.6" 2560x1440 AMOLED panel produced by LG Display, 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time. The peak brightness is 1,000 nits and the monitor supports HDMI, USB Type-C, and DisplayPort.

The OG27QK OLED monitor is currently shipping in China for around $650.

Ricoh portable OLED monitor 150 / 150BW

The Ricoh portable monitor offers a touch 15.6" FHD (1920x1080) AMOLED Display, available in either wired (model 150, 0.55 Kg) or wireless (model 150BW, 0.75 Kg, including a 3-hours batter) options. The monitor connects to your laptop or smartphone with a USB cable, or wirelessly.

The Ricoh portable monitors are now shipping (through PFU in the US) for $570 (wired) and $770 (wireless).

Asus ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD

The Asus ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD is a gaming monitor based on a curved (1800R) 49-inch ultra-wide 5120x1440 1000-nits QD-OLED panel. It offers a USB 3.2 Smart KVM, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports, a high-bandwidth USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a graphene film for heat dissipation.

Asus did not yet reveal the price or shipping date of the PG49WCD monitor.

Acer Predator X34 V

The Acer Predator X34 V is a gaming monitor, that offers a 34" 175Hz 3440 x 1440 curved QD-OLED panel. The display offers a 0.1 ms Gray-to-Gray response time, peak brightness of 1,000 nits, AMD FreeSync Premium comparability and VRR. 

The Predator X34 V will ship in November 2023, for $1,299.

ASRock's PG34WQ15R3A is a curved 34" WQHD 165Hz LCD gaming monitor that features a small 1.3" OLED display at its base that can show small images and videos.

The PG34WQ15R3A was announced at CES 2023.

Viewsonic VX2722-4K-OLED

ViewSonic's VX2722-4K-OLED is a 27-inch 60hz 4K monitor that uses a printed OLED panel produced by JOLED. The VX2722-4K-OLED is aimed towards content creators and professionals. The monitor offers a 0.1 ms G2G response time, 540 nits peak brightness, 10-bit colour depth and 100% DCI-P3 and 109% Adobe RGB color gamuts.

The OLED monitor will ship by the end of 2023.

Acer Predator X27U/X45

Acer's Predator range of OLED monitors include the 27-inch 2560x1440 X27U and 45-inch 3440x1440 ultrawide curved X45. Both monitors offer 0.01ms G2G response time, 240Hz refresh rate, VRR and are certified for AMD FreeSync Premium. The screens offer a displayport 1.4 and dual HDMI 2.0.

Acer's new OLED monitors will ship in Q2 2023, with a price of $1,099 for the 27" and $1,699 for the 45-inch model. The screens use LG's latest WOLED panels.

Dough Spectrum Black 27

Dough Spectrum Black 27 is a high end monitor based on LG's 27" 240Hz 2560x1440 OLED display. The monitor offers an HDMI 2.1 port, DisplayPort 1.4, VRR, ALLM and one-cable USB-C charging and data.

The Dough Spectrum OLED will ship in 2024, for $749 (Matte version) or $949 (Cover glass version). Dough also offers a 32-inch model.
