LG Display reported its financial results for Q3 2025, with revenues of $4.87 billion USD, up 25% from the second quarter, and up 2% from last year. LG reported an operating profit of $300 million, and a small net profit of $0.7 million (due to one-off expenses related to workforce optimization) . The company is on track for a profitable year in 2025, for the first time in 4 years.
LG Display's strong revenues in the quarter were driven by higher OLED panel shipments - in all of its segments, both large-area panels and mobile AMOLED displays. OLED products accounted for 65% of total revenues, the highest proportion to date.
For its OLED TV segment, LG Display says it aims to ship around 6 million panels in 2025, up from 2024. For 2026, the company aims to continue growing, and ship around 7 million panels. LGD has the capacity to produce 180,000 8-Gen substrates each month, and it will utilize around 135,000 in 2025, which means it will be at around 75% utilization.
For small-area mobile AMOLED panels, LG Display reported an increase of 20% in shipments in the first half of 2025, this is supported by its "technological leadership and strong customer partnerships". LG also confirmed it is the exclusive supplier of wearable AMOLED displays to Apple.
