LG Display announced a new plan to invest $745 million in its OLED production facilities, to improve its technological competitiveness.
LGD said that the investment will be made from April 2026 to June 2028, but the company did not disclose more details.

According to reports, the 2025 plan mostly focused on small and medium sized displays, and also an updated of its WOLED TV and monitor production technology. Specifically, the plan included an upgrade to its LTPO, tandem and COE processes, and a large portion of that investment (around $410 million) was invested in LGD's module factory in Vietnam.
