LG to demonstrate the first 27-inch 240Hz RGB stripe OLED monitor panel

LG Display announced that next month (at CES 2026) it will unveil the world's first 27-inch 4K OLED panel that features an RGB stripe structure and a 240Hz refresh rate.

LGD says that the RGB stripe structure offers a better image quality compared to other subpixel arrangements (usually either WRGB-WOLD, or a triangular pattern), and reduces visual distortions such as color bleeding and fringing. Up until now, the maximum refresh rate of RGB stripe OLEDs, however, was limited to around 60Hz, and LGD is the first to commercialize a 240Hz one.

LGD's new monitor panel also incorporates the company's specialized Dynamic Frequency & Resolution (DFR) technology, so users can choose between 4K at 240Hz and Full-HD at 480Hz. LGD says that it plans to initially introduce the new pixel structure in its high-end gaming and professional monitor panels.
