Kopin sold off its stake at Lightning Silicon Technology

In 2024, US-based microdisplay developer Kopin Corporation spun-off its consumer OLED business unit to Lightning Silicon Technology, which also licensed Kopin's OLED technology. 

Kopin held a 20% stake at LST, and today the company announced that it has sold all of its shares back to LST, for only $2.

 

Kopin is focusing on the defense sector, and it recently announced that it has decided to build a full-scale OLED microdisplay production line, at the company's Westborough, Massachusetts headquarters.
