China-based OLED material maker Hyperions has started constructing a new organic materials production factory in the Changchun Beihu Fine Chemical New Materials Industrial Demonstration Park, in Changchun, Jilin, China.
The new production hub that will cost a total of around $150 million, will have a total land area of 100,000 sqm, and total building size of 150,000 sqm. The hub includes a synthesis process unit area, a sublimation building, an R&D building, an optoelectronic laboratory, and general offices. The company says it s new production line will have an annual capacity of 20 tons of materials, and will generate over $300 million in yearly revenues.
In 2023, the company planned to go public via an IPO, but that plan never materialized. Back then it announced its financial results, with around $43 million in revnues in 2022.
