Genesis introduced its flagship GV90 EV SUV, based on its new eMP platform. The car includes several new and innovative technologies, including the pop-up OLED display.
The OLED panel, which is a "Cinematic Display", provides a new user experience for Genesis. While driving, the screen offers a wide 24.6" screen, that "integrates seamlessly the instrument cluster, navigation, and media". When the vehicle is parked, pressing the display extension button raises the screen by 90mm, transforming it into a 24.6-inch display — approximately 1.7 times larger in area than when retracted.
According to earlier reports, the producer of the GV90 display is Samsung Display. It's not clear if this is a sliding OLED, or a rigid one that moves up and down inside the dashboard.
