Here is a really well written article which has alot of hyperlinks with Magic Link patents / patent applications :

Some of their technology uses a scanning fiber display .  Here is a good article about how this works :

When refrencing their scanning fiber display technolgy they tend to dis OLED:

In order to fit 8 Mpx in this 12 mm format, the pixel size may be 3 microns or smaller. Current state of the art in HMD microdisplay technology does not offer sufficient resolution and FOV at the high frame rates needed to provide the minimum desired (20/20 acuity) visual requirements for future pilot HMDs. The pixel density of currently deployed image sources, such as AMOLED, AM-LCD, and LCOS is constrained by the minimum achievable pixel size. For each of these technologies, color display requires 3 side-by-side elements, further constraining effective pixel pitch and resultant angular resolution, so new enabling technologies must be pursued.

However , this patent application using a diffent approach lists OLED microdisplay as  possibility :

14. The image display system of claim 11 wherein the image display unit is selected from the group consisting of: a liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) display device, a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel, an organic light emitting display (OLED), ferroelectric liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS device, digital mirror device (DMD), and a micro-projector.

In addition some of my browsing has shown them using lasers light sources , LED light sources , MEMS ect.   They are all over the place .
