OLED TV panel producer

BOE Display, founded in 1993 in Beijing China, is one of the world's leading display makers, producing both LCDs and OLEDs. BOE also produces LCD backlighting units and solar panels.

BOE has been producing small glass-based OLEDs for some time, but the company's focus is currently in flexible and foldable OLEDs. In October 2017 BOE started to produce flexible OLED displays at its first flexible OLED line, the Chengdu B7 6-Gen fab. The annual capacity of the B7 line, when complete and at 100% yields, will be 45,000 monthly 6-Gen substrates, or about 90 million smartphone OLEDs.

LG Display, based in Korea, is one of the world's largest display makers. LGD produces screens for TVs, laptops and mobile devices, focusing on OLED technologies.

LG Display is the world's leading OLED TV and monitor panel producer (based on its WOLED architecture). The company also produces flexible AMOLEDs for wearables, tablets and smartphones (branded as pOLEDs, and supplied to many companies including Apple). LG Display is also offering automotive OLED displays, transparent OLEDs, and is developing OLED microdisplays.

Samsung Display Corporation (SDC), one of the world's leading display makers, was spun off from Samsung Electronics in 2012. The company produces a wide range of OLED and QD-OLED displays, and is also developing MicroLED displays.

Samsung Display is the world's leading AMOLED producer by volume and revenue, and is also the world's only QD-OLED panel maker. SDC is producing around 500 million AMOLED panels per year (both flexible and rigid panels) used in smartphones, wearables, tablets, laptops and more. The company's QD-OLED panels are used in monitors and TVs.

In addition to its current AMOLED and QD-OLED displays, SDC is developing next-generation OLED technologies, including rollable OLEDs, transparent OLEDs, stretchable displays, novel OLED materials, OLED microdisplays, and more.

TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT, also called Shenzhen Huaxing Photoelectric Technology) is a China based display producer owned by TCL (with a minority stake held by Samsung Display and Century Science & Technology Investment ). The company is producing both LCDs and OLED displays, and develops microLED technologies.

CSoT started developing OLED technologies back in 2012. The company's main OLED fab is a 6-Gen LTPS flexible AMOLED production line in Wuhan.

CSoT is very active with inkjet printing technologies, and has been developing the technology for many years. TCL CSoT aims to start mass production of IT AMOLED products by using inkjet printing in a low-volume fab by the end of 2024. The company demonstrated impressive printed OLED prototypes over the years.
