Aoshi Technology (O-Vision Technology)

O-vision (Aoshi Technology), established in 2022, and based in Guangzhou, China, is an OLED microdisplay producer.

The company developed a unique Organic Photolithographic Patterning Technology that enables it to produce direct-emission OLED microdisplay (with no color filters). 

 

Aoshi Technology operates a small-scale pilot line (K1) in Nanhai, Foshan, and is in the early stages of constructing a 12-inch production line (5,000 monthly wafers), that will be operational towards the end of 2027, if all goes according to plan.

In May 2026, the company raised its Series B funding round (over $14.5 million).

BCDTEK

BCDTEK (also known as Shenzhen Xinshijia Semiconductor Technology) develops OLED ICs and OLED microdisplays.

In 2022, BCDTEK announced it is building a $970 million 12-inch OLED microdisplay fab. In December 2023, it announced that the building construction is completed, for the first phase (the K2 fab).

 

BCDTEK is also constructing a $140 million OLED module line (the K3 fab) in Fengcheng, Jiangxi Province.

BOE Display

BOE Display, founded in 1993 in Beijing China, is one of the world's leading display makers, producing both LCDs and OLEDs. BOE also produces LCD backlighting units and solar panels.

BOE has been producing small glass-based OLEDs for some time, but the company's focus is currently in flexible and foldable OLEDs. In October 2017 BOE started to produce flexible OLED displays at its first flexible OLED line, the Chengdu B7 6-Gen fab. The annual capacity of the B7 line, when complete and at 100% yields, will be 45,000 monthly 6-Gen substrates, or about 90 million smartphone OLEDs.

eMagin corporation

eMagin is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of OLED microdisplays. eMagin's traditional markets are the defense and industry ones, but the company is also targeting the consumer VR and AR markets with its latest microdisplays. eMagin is a public company (NYSE AMERICAN:EMAN).

eMagin is developing high-end OLED microdisplays, and in early 2017 started shipping 2k x 2k displays. eMagin is also developing direct-emission OLED microdisplays. In 2023, eMagin was acquired by Samsung Display.

INT Tech

INT Tech, established in 2016 in Taiwan, developed advanced technologies for the display industry. INT Tech is a public company that went public in Taiwan at the end of 2018.

INT is developing an ultra-high pixel density OLED display (UHPD) and truly-flexible sensor (SPIC) technologies. The company has a production line in Taiwan, and is constructing a production line in China (owned by its subsidiary KT&T).

 

In January 2020 INT Tech produced its first prototype display - a 0.7" 2,300 PPI real RGB side-by-side AMOLED display. In April 2020 INT Tech signed an agreement to establish a $143 million OLED display fab in the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang province, China (via KT&T).

In 2025, INT Tech unveiled the world's highest brightness full-color OLED microdisplay at 60,000 nits, and later in the year followed with a 100,000 nits microdisplay.

Kopin

US-based Kopin Corporation is a developer of microdisplays and other components for wearable devices.

In December 2016 Kopin announced it is developing OLED microdisplays, and the company since introduced several OLED microdisplays (the first ones were 1" 2Kx2K and 0.49" 1280x720) and announced several design wins.

 

Kopin signed agreements with OLiGHTEK and with BOE's JV with OLiGHTEK for the production of its OLED microdisplays, but later started working with Lakaeside Optoelectronics.

In early 2023 Kopin spun-off its OLED business unit to Lightning Silicon Technology. In 2026 the company sold off its entire stake at LST.

KT&T

KT&T was established in 2020 as a spin-off from INT Tech, to commercialize its OLED microdisplay technology, following INT Tech's $143 million OLED fab in the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang province, China.

In 2022, KT&T introduced its first microdisplays, based on its own UNEEDXR technology that enables ultra-high pixel densities on either TFT or silicon backplanes. The company's technology is based on RGB structure, without color filters, to achieve high brightness (up to 12,000 nits) and low power consumption.

 

Following several rounds of investments, KT&T became an independent company, and INT Tech is still a major shareholder.

Kunshan Mengxian

Kunshan Mengxian Electric (also known as Qingyue Optical) was established in 2020 in China with plans to produce OLED microdisplays. The company is owned by Qingyue, a PMOLED producer that was spun-off in 2021 from OLED maker Visionox.

In 2020, Kunshan Mengxian announced its plans for a $55 million OLED microdisplay line, in Kunshan, Jiangsu province. The company is looking to produce direct-emission RGB OLED microdisplays.
