Are these Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus?

Samsung is set to unveil the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 on August 13, and some say that in this event the company will also unveil a larger variant of the popular GS6 Edge (which will be called, unimaginatively, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus).

Samsung Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus leaked photo

SamMobile posted the leaked image below, which supposedly shows the two new upcoming phones. The Note 5 (on the left) will have a 5.66" QHD (2560x1440) Super AMOLED display - which is actually a bit of a disappointment as it seems to be the exact same display used in the Galaxy Note 4. Other Note 5 features (according to this leak) include an Octa-core Exynos 7420 CPU, 4GB of RAM, Android 5.1.1 and a 16 mp camera (sadly - no micro SD slot).

SamMobile does not have any technical information regarding the Galaxy S6 Edge+. Actually it seems a bit strange for Samsung to call this phone in that name - it would have made more sense to call it the Galaxy Note 5 Edge. Maybe they didn't want to do that because the last generation Note 4 Edge was actually called the Note Edge, without the 4, so it would have been confusing.

I think the reason it called Galaxy S6 Edge+ and not Note 5 Edge is because it doesn't have S-Pen, hence naming referral to S6 series instead of Note series...

Ben,

Maybe you're right. But then again, it's strange that there is no new S-Pen equipped phone with a curved edge... or maybe there will be? We'll know next week...
