Barry is the CEO of the OLED Association - "We help to promote the OLED industry by preparing white papers on the technology, making marketing presentations, briefing the financial industry and lobbying governments. We share leadership in the OLED Coalition with NGLIA in order to promote OLED lighting in North America".


What was the last book you read? Book 1906 by James Dalessandro; a fictional account of the great San Francisco earthquake.

And the last movie you saw? Seymour, an introduction—a warm and lucid portrait of Bernstein a piano genius and his exceptional life and work.

Tell us a couple of things you have on your desk at work - I keep a very clean desk, a Mac and a 27 inch monitor, plus a cigar box with the MIT logo, given to me by an employee who I sponsored for the Sloan Program

What’s your favorite food? I love pasta

What was your latest travel destination? I just return from Taipei and Seoul

What was the last music CD you listened to? A series of performances by Myles Davis

What is the object you'd most like to 3D print? A putter

Who would you most like to sit next to on a long flight? (dead or alive) - Steve Jobs so I could complain to him about his nasty negotiation skills

What are you most excited about regarding OLEDs? How OLEDs will change the worlds of displays and lighting. I am waiting for my rolled up 100 TV and a lighting system that is integrated into the ceiling.
