Cambrios, established in 2002 in California, developed silver-nanowire based transparent electrodes for consumer devices. The company developed a coating material called ClearOhm, that produced a transparent, conductive film by wet processing, can be used to create touch panels for OLED panels, LCDs, e-paper displays and also as conductive electrodes in solar panels.
Cambrios collaborates with Plextronics on OLED lighting electrodes. The company raised $5 million from Samsung in 2012. In 2016 the company was liquidated but then revived as Cambrios Advanced Materials.
