BOE hopes to be Apple's second supplier for the 2027 OLED iPad Air and future MacBook laptops

For its 2026 new device lineup, Apple has decided to rely exclusively on OLED panels produced by Samsung Display and LG Display. This has been a setback for BOE , that hoped to enter the supply chain. But it seems as if Apple did not want to take this change, following BEO's consistent quality and production issues.

But BOE is not giving up, and a new report from Korea suggests that BOE is developing OLED tablet panels, hoping to enter Apple's supply chain for the 2027 iPad Air, that will utilize an AMOLED display. Apple has already selected Samsung Display as its main supplier for these OLED iPad Air panels, but BOE wishes to become Apple's second supplier.
