Reports suggest that BOE's chairman will visit Samsung Electronics next week, to discuss the supply of TV LCD panels and smartphone AMOLED displays.
As Samsung and BOE recently ended their long IP battle (and BOE agreed to pay royalties for Samsung's AMOLED patents), BOE is looking to increase the supply of panels for Samsung's devices, including its smartphones.
Several years ago Samsung Electronics decided to adopt BOE AMOLED panels in some of its smartphones, to diversify its sources, and enjoy the lower prices offered by BOE, compared to Samsung Display's prices.
