OLED microdisplay developer BCDTek has announced a partnership with researchers out of Shenzhen University. BCDTek and the University signed a strategic industry-academia-research agreement.
The researchers at Shenzhen University, led by Prof. Wu Zongze, together with BCDTek will focus on the application of AI and industrial vision technologies in semiconductor manufacturing, testing, and packaging. BCDTek hopes that this research will enable it to enhance its production capabilities and upgrade its fab.
BCDTek and the University will jointly establish a new research center, called the "Shenzhen University Semiconductor Manufacturing Intelligent Inspection Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education", which will be a platform to the related R&D and technology transfer activities.
