Towards the end of 2025 we reported that Avaco has received a letter of intent (LOI) from BOE, for the supply of vacuum deposition transfer equipment for BOE's next phase of its 8.6-Gen AMOLED line (B16). A few days ago Avaco formally announced that it has signed a contract with BOE to supply it with the OLED deposition systems. Avaco did not disclose any financial terms, but it did say that the contract runs until December 21, 2027.

Avaco equipment is used to transfer and align substrates to and from the actual OLED deposition process, and is considered to be a vital piece of the process. Avaco already supplied two 8.6-Gen machines for the first phase of BOE's 8.6-Gen fab, which has been installed and now being tested.
Avaco has teamed up with Sunic System, that produces the actual OLED deposition systems. Sunic is BOE's supplier for both phases as well.
