APEVA SE developed and markets Organic Vapor Phase Deposition (OVPD) OLED manufacturing equipment. APEVA was spun-off from Aixtron in 2017. OVPD was exclusively licensed to Aixtron by UDC.

In 2022 Aixtron decided to shut-down APEVA as the company did not manage to find customers for its OVPD platform.
