UBI Research says that OLED panel shipments increased in Q3 2025, rising around 15% from Q2 to reach around 240 million units, thanks to a significant increase in smartphone and foldable phone panel shipments.
UBI explains that the second quarter is usually weak in demand for smartphones, while the third quarter enjoys strong shipments to Apple's new phones. Samsung Display indeed enjoyed a surge in demand from both Apple and Samsung Electronics (thanks to the new Galaxy S25 FE launch).
LG Display's panel shipments almost doubled - and rose from 10.8 million in Q2 to almost 20 million in Q3, again thanks to strong demand from Apple.
China-based OLED makers also saw increased shipments. BOE increased shipments by 5.4 million units (mainly shipping to Oppo, followed by Apple and Huawei) while Visionox saw an ever greater increase of 6.7 million units.
