Allied Market Research released a new OLED market report (World Organic LED Market - Opportunities and Forecasts, 2014 - 2020) in which they forecast that the OLED market will grow at a 18.3% CAGR from 2015 to 2020, reaching $37.2 billion by 2020.

The report covers both display and lighting panels. Allied sees the OLED lighting market growing quickly (45.8% CAGR) in the near future. Allied says that the commercial OLED lighting segment was the largest market segment in 2014 - reaching revenues of $245.4 million.

Allied also states that the industrial OLED lighting market will be the fastest growing segment - growing at a CAGR of 53.8% to reach $463 million in 2020.

Allied OLED lighting estimates seem very optimistic to me - most analysts estimate the entire OLED lighting market at less than $100 million in 2015. ElectroniCast Consultants says that the OLED lighting market generated $150 million in 2015, while UBI sees a $100 million OLED lighting market in 2016. IDTechEx sees the market remaining below $80 million until 2017.

Allied OLED market forecast are also quite high. DisplaySearch for example says that the market will grow from $10.3 billion in 2014 to just over $23 billion in 2022. UBI, on the other hand, sees a $65 billion OLED market in 2020!
