The 2025 Audi A6 Sedan sports digital OLED taillights

Audi announced that the new 2025 Audi A6 Sedan will sport OLED lighting, its Digital OLED 2.0, powered by OLEDWorks' Atala panels. 

Each module (right and left) includes a total of eight digital OLED panels, and 198 OLED segments (panels). The technology can refresh the 'image' created by the lighting panel several times per second, and offers communication light coupled with proximity detection for warning lights, unique signatures and more.

 

The A6 Sedan is the third Audi model to adopt OLEDWorks' 2nd-Gen Digital OLED lighting solutions, after the 2024 Audi Q6 e-tron and the 2025 A5/S5. The new A6 Sedan has more panels than Audi's previous Digital 2.0 solutions, through (the A5 has a total of 364 panels, or 182 per side).

In August 2019 Audi announced its first-gen OLED lighting technology, called Digital OLED, which uses multi-segment OLED taillight modules that can show signs and information - or just display new lighting designs. The first-gen solution just over 50 OLED segments in total, so the 2nd-Gen solution in the A5 offers over 6 times more panels.
