Amazon lists the Nokia N85

Amazon.com now lists the Nokia N85 - which will actually be the first 'consumer' AMOLED phone to hit the states, sometimes in December. The price for an unlocked phone is 556$, which will obviously will be much lower with a contract.

The N85 is a S60 (Symbian) 3G/HSDPA phone with a 5mp camera, GPS and WiFi. The display is a 2.6" AMOLED QVGA (240x320).

Cowon S9 Curve will be available in the US by december

Cowon say that the S9 Curve will be available in the US in december. The S9 curve has a touchscreen 3.3" (480x272) AMOLED display. It also has a 500Mhz dual-core CPU, bluetooth, FM radio, TV out and a USB2 connector. In korea it has a T-DMB, but this won't work in the US.

The new Lexus 2010 RX uses a white OLED display

Lexus just launched the new 2010 RX car. The main upgrades are in efficiency, power and 'technology features'.

One of those is a white OLED with multi-function information, supplementing the main 8" Navigation display.

Art.Lebedev Aux Keyboard will cost 650$

Art.Lebedev have released the price tag for the Aux OLED Keyboard (with 15 OLED keys) - 650$. It's very expensive - like other Art.Lebedev OLED keyboards.

The Vuzix AV230XL Headset Is Using MED's P-OLED Microdisplays

MicroEmissive Displays (MED) just announced that the Vuzix AV230XL Headset announced a few days ago uses their EyeScreen P-OLED Microdisplays. The Tiny OLED Microdisplays bring large-TV like experience with the headset (like watching a 44" TV, actually).

The AV230XL is a video headset, designed to be used with many kinds of devices - from A/V players like the iPod to game consoles and mobile phones.

iRiver lowers the prices for the SPINN (3.2" AMOLED)

The iRiver SPINN is rather new, but already iRiver are lowering the prices.The 4GB was sold for 250$, while the 8GB went for 290$.Now the 4GB is just 190$, and the 8GB version is at 229$. You can get the SPINN at Amazon.

As a reminder, the SPINN has a 3.2" AMOLED (480x372).

KDDI releases two new phones with 3.1" AMOLED

Earlier this month, KDDI showed a 3.1" WVGA (480x800) AMOLED, made by samsung. They said these will appear shortly, and today they announced two new phones with this display, both in the 'au' range - the KDDI W63H (Hitachi) and W63CA (Casio).

7.6" AMOLED panels now available...

We've just got word from an OLED world-wide reseller that we're in touch with - and they got 7.6" AMOLED panels (CMEL) on sale - in fact they are shipping evaluation samples. The displays go 16:9 aspect ratio, 800x480 resolution and white to black contrast ratio of 30,000:1.

Rohm shows Shadowless OLED Lamp and OLED flash

Rohm had two OLED items at CEATEC. The first is a 'shadowless' OLED lamp. The lamp is using a 'complex' array of OLED panels so that objects beneath it has no shadow.

The second item they had on display is an OLED Flash. The flash can emit light with a high luminance (100,000cd/m²). The flash can also be used as a 'regular' OLED lamp, with a luminance of of 3,000-4,000cd/m² or higher.

KDDI shows 3.1" AMOLED panels, will appear in phones "shortly"

KDDI shows 3.1" OLED (800 x 480 WVGA) panels at CEATEC Japan. Those panels are made by Samsung.

KDDI says these panels will be in actual products (phones) shortly - but not specific date or modules yet.
