Photonis Technologies SAS acquires a majority stake in MicroOLED

Photonis Technologies SAS has bought a 51% stake in MicroOLED. The financial details were not disclosed. MicroOLED are working towards OLED microdisplays for defense systems, OEM instrumentation, video glasses for 3D and high-definition applications, and viewfinders for cameras.

Exactly one year ago, MicroOLED said that the will start mass-production by the end of 2009, we do not know whether they are actually producing them yet. The MicroOLED microdisplays boast 25µm sub-pixel area and 25mW power consumption.
