The Pulse is actually a computer within a pen - you can capture your handwriting, record audio, and later download it all to your computer. It's also a general-purpose computer with a Java development environment.
The Pulse includes an infra-red camera (to record your writing), dual-microphones, a speaker, an ARM9 processor and an OLED display.
