RiTdisplay OLED panel shipment to reach 20 million units in 2005

RiTdisplay, Taiwan’s largest OLED maker, expects to ship 20 million OLED panels this year, up 150% from the 8 million it shipped in 2004, according to company CEO Wang Ding Chang.
With demand for portable devices such as mobile phones and MP3 players increasing rapidly, the global OLED market is expected to double to 60 million units in 2005, Wang said.
Panels used for MP3 players will account for more half the market, compared to less than 10% in 2004, Wang quoted DisplaySearch as saying.
