What was the last book you read? and the last movie you saw? The last book I read was an eBook on my iPad, "The Whites", which I borrowed from my local library via Kindle. The last movie I saw was on TV, and I had seen it last year but forgot most of it, Oblivion.

Tell us a couple of things you have on your desk at work: Aside from the usual landline phone, iMac, speakers, and inbox, I have photos of my family on various trips, a Staples That Was Easy button, and a plastic shark that sits atop my iMac. I got him in a drink shortly after we started Colnatec, and I kept him to remind me that I swim with sharks.

What’s your favorite food? Aside from Italian food and fine wine, I’m addicted to sour gummy worms.

What was your latest travel destination? Last week I was in Florida, and days before that I was in La Jolla, CA visiting my son at UCSD. Next trip is San Francisco or back to La Jolla. I haven’t been abroad since last October when we went to Grenoble, France for SEMICON, then went on to various cities in Germany to visit partners and customers.

What was the last music CD you listened to? I listen to music every day, but never on a CD. I use satellite, iPhone apps, and my iPhone/iPad music library mostly. Lately I’ve been on an 80s New Wave kick.

What is the object you'd most like to 3D print? I’m really fascinated by beautiful food, like intricate, artistic cakes, so if I could make something like that, I’d love it.

Who would you most like to sit next to on a long flight? (dead or alive)? As soon as I get on a plane I put on my headphones and read or play iPad games, so I tune out the people next to me. I really don’t want to chat for the most part. If I’m going to talk to someone, I’d prefer it’s someone I know well, like family or my business partner. If I was going to chat, I think Hillary Clinton would be fascinating.

What are you most excited about regarding OLEDs? Flexible, rollable screens intrigue me, but I love the idea that we could maybe have a holodeck someday :) Imagine rooms displaying anything you want! Or invisibility cloaks! Seriously, how cool would that be?
