Merck

Merck is a global pharmaceutical and chemical company based in Germany, with a history that goes back to 1668. The company designs, develops and manufactures a wide range of specialised materials including high performance light emitting materials for OLEDs. The OLED business belongs to Mercks' Liquid-Crystal (LC) unit.

In February 2005, Merck acquired Covion, and in October 2008 Merck acquired all of OLED-T's IP.
