Apple to do OLED netbook?

Apple are looking to enter the netbook market - using a touchscreen device, that may or may not have a keyboard (in which case it will be a high-end iPod touch). The main issue is obviously the price of the OLED panels. Apple are reportedly talking to Sony about using their OLED displays. It seems like the old Apple OLED rumors will never die... In any case this new device is slated to be released towards the end of 2009 - so we've got some time to wait... Via Smarthouse Similar entries

In any case the bid for netbook OLED panel not for Sony, probably the OLED technology that LG Display show at CES 2009 this past January.

The LG-OLED deal is also a rumor... we only know they signed a deal for LCD displays, not OLEDs.
LG showed 15" displays. A netbook or an iPod will need much smaller displays (<12" probably)... but we don't know anything.
We'll just have to wait and see...
